The Gender Clinic is open on Wednesdays at Gold Coast DBT in Southport on the Gold Coast. The Gender Clinic provides a specialised private service which comprises of individual centered care for the trans, gender diverse and non-binary people, families and partners.

Gender Clinic Services

The Gender Clinic is one of the only private services of its kind, providing services for trans, gender diverse and non-binary individuals. Our services include Specialist Assessments, Counselling, Psychological Support, and Consultation to Mental Health Professionals. We provide fee based services which can be accessed through self-referal or referrals from health professionals.

Counselling

Providing psychological support with issues that relate to trans, gender diverse and non-binary individuals. Our therapist use a range of safe evidence informed approaches.

Support

Assisting a individuals explore their gender identity and providing information about the diversity of gender identities and expressions.

Assessment

Including assessing whether an individual is experiencing gender dysphoria and exploring various medical and social interventions which may assist in alleviating that dysphoria.

Consultation

We assist other health professionals in assessing suitability for hormonal and surgical treatments.

Telehealth

To support individuals in rural and remote areas our services are also offered through Telehealth.

Research

Our program is informed by the evidence base, clinical experience and our Consumer Advisory Panel.
